DMV City Slickerz began in early 2025 as a pursuit for healthy connection. A group of friends wanted a positive alternative to the typical nightlife scene, a space where wellness and movement took priority. What started with a small circle dancing in a local park grew into something far more profound: a sanctuary for souls across DC, Maryland, and Virginia looking for joy.
What we built wasn't just a dance squad, it was a family. We call everyone who joins us "Cousin" because that feeling of belonging is at the core of our culture. Today, we are a diverse community of veterans, young professionals, and families, all using the power of line dancing to foster wellness, celebrate culture, and build lasting community connections.
